Academy Policy & Grading System

Evaluation and grading:

All grading data from daily test/quizzes hands on practical evaluations, student's assignments are performed by compiling Participation, homework, project, and assignments.

Breakdown of grades:

20%- Attendance-being in attendance from beginning to end of class

(8:30am-5:00pm)

-10 points- student does not arrive on time
-10 points- student leaves early
- 100 points- student does not notify

20%-Homework- handing in assignments on time, completing entire assignments.

30%-Projects- completing the given project for the module on time and completing all assignments/instructions.

30%-Assessments- Daily quizzes, tests and practical

A =100-90

B =80-89

C =70-79

D =60-69

F =59-below

Teachers will endure hours earned in the clinic department must be devoted to study and effective practice and performance. Practice is the independent hands-on execution of the systematic completion of the steps for a safe and effective cosmetic art service on a mannequin by a student, practice is monitored during the execution and checked by a teacher upon completion, for the purpose of pointing out errors in order that the errors may be corrected. Performance is the hands-on execution of the systematic completion of the steps for a safe and effective cosmetic art service on a live individual by a student. Performance is monitored during the execution and checked by a teacher upon completion for the purpose of pointing out errors in order that the errors may be corrected.

RHS Beauty Academy Natural Hair Service on a client:

Student will do services on a mannequin before moving on to a live client. Student will service clients for the remainder of the course until service and course requirements is completed to satisfy state board guidelines for graduation and license. In the event the student is not completing service on a live client that is conducive to student remaining consistent with implementation of client safety, and service technique; instructor will meet the current need of the student by revisiting implementation of client safety and service technique until student can complete the tasks as required to pass the course.

Each client will be asked to sign a waiver of responsibility and liability prior to any services being render. Clients are asked to sign this waiver in acknowledgment that they are being serviced by students.

Prices are subject to change depending on length, thickness of hair and desired style.
